The city Cape Town is often featured in movies and showed off as a luxury travel destination which it is. Cape Town is an African city located on the southern coast that meets the Table Bay in the Atlantic Ocean. The Table Bay is a natural bay on the Northern side of Cape Peninsula and gets its name from the famous Table Mountain of Cape Town that will be discussed later.
Cape Town is the capital city of Western Cape Province of South Africa. It contains varying terrain across its area. From coastal to mountainous, Cape Town is not missing on any beauty and attraction that other travel destination might be. This is also why Cape Town offers a wide variety of activities and places to see to its tourists.

Port of Cape Town
The port is situated at one of world’s busiest sea trade routes and hence, is itself a busy trade port. The aerial view of this port shows its true size (which is huge) and depicts a sense of harmony and sophistication regarding its neatness and beauty. The Port also offers several tourist attractions around it including places like Cape Town Diamond Museum, The Cape Wheel, Chavvones Battery Museum, Waterfront Adventures Day Cruises, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, V&A Market on the Wharf, etc.
The Table Mountain
The Mountain serves as a glorious backdrop to Cape Town City. It gets its name from its relatively flatter surface as compared to other mountains. It also contains several important features like the Devil’s Peak, Lion Head and the flat mesa. These names are famous because of its shape that appears from the city. The mountain houses several unique flora and fauna and gives the city a pleasant weather. Some tourists trek their way to the top while others prefer to use a splendid cable car ride that conveniently takes its riders to the mountaintop where visitors are offered several enjoyable activities and a stay in luxurious hotels.
The mountain also has a park at its surface famous as the table mountain national park which is also inscribed as UNESCO’s Floral Region World Heritage Site whose purpose is to protect flora. Other than Table Mountain, the park also contains the Cape of Good Hope which is a rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of Cape Peninsula.

The city is highly recommended for travel and vacation destination for tourists and travelers that have already been there. The fact that the town enjoys a lot of such titles and has received several well-known awards for its beauty just endorses their recommendations. In 2014, the city was declared as the best place to visit by America’s New York Times as well as by British ‘Daily Telegraph’. It also received an award of World Design Capital.
